Conditions of sale
By placing an order you will have read, understood and agreed to the Terms and Conditions. Shelfridges may change the Terms and Conditions at its discretion. You will be deemed to have accepted the modifications if you continue to use the website after they have been posted.
A contract between Shelfridges and the customer is formed only when we receive settlement of your Paypal payment.
Under the Consumer Protection (distance selling) Regulations 2000, you have the right to cancel your order for whatever reason and be fully refunded. You have seven days after delivery to exercise this right.

Returns Policy
Shelfridges understand that from time to time you may wish to return a product to us.
We have created this 30-day returns policy to enable you to return products to us in appropriate circumstances. Where you have no other legal right to return a product and receive a refund or exchange, then you will nonetheless be entitled to return a product to us where:
(a) we receive the returned product within 30 days following the date of delivery of the product;
(b) the returned product is unused, in its original or appropriate packaging and otherwise in a condition enabling us to sell the product as new;

Exclusions

(a) any shelves showing signs of animal use, such as nibbled edges, or traces of animal waste.

Conformity of Goods
Whilst every effort is taken to ensure the descriptions, pictures and specifications of our products are accurate, we cannot accept any responsibility for minor discrepancies as the information given is for general information and guidance only. Due to the nature of the wood used, grains and knots for example, images should be used as guidance only.

Faulty Goods
If you are dissatisfied with the quality or the goods are defective, you must advise Shelfridges in writing within seven days from the invoice date. If the defect was not apparent on initial inspection, you have 30 days to notify us, beyond which we cannot accept liability. We are not liable for any defect arising from fair wear and tear, wilful damage, alteration or repair, or abnormal use of the ordered goods. Any valid claims will be exchanged free of charge or fully refunded on receipt of the returned goods. Shelfridges will have no further liability for the defect.

Shelfridges shall not be liable to you by reason of any representation or any implied warranty, condition or other term, or any duty at common law or under these terms and conditions, for any special, indirect or consequential damage (including but not limiting to financial loss, loss of programs or data, or any other claims for compensation) which arise out of use or connection with the website www.shelfridges.co.uk
